I specialise in family lifestyle portraits and my style is really natural and relaxed – I can help put everyone at ease for their photo session! I photograph children and families of all ages, from newborn babies to teenagers to adulthood. Families are always changing and it is never too late to capture your children growing up…

I love to photograph outdoors, taking advantage of the natural light and time of year, whether it be the first spring flowers or autumn colours. However I do offer in-home sessions as well (this is particularly suited to babies and younger children) or we can start at home and head outdoors for some photos afterwards. Most of my family sessions take place between late March and November. We can discuss the best time of year and location for your session over a consultation call beforehand. I also provide tips on what to wear and how best to prepare for your session.

I also offer extended family shoots bringing several family generations together – it is wonderful to get the grandparents involved and these sessions are always really popular. NEW FOR 2024 – I am delighted to be offering sessions at Falconhurst this year – a beautiful family run estate in the High Weald of Kent. It has stunning gardens surrounded by park and woodland. There’s even a farm shop for refreshments. I look forward to sharing some images from my sessions there but you can find out more about Falconhurst here.

Book your session

Once you are ready to book, simply get in touch with me to book a suitable date. Photo sessions can be booked on weekdays or weekends and I also have some dates available in the school holidays. The session fee is payable in advance to secure your booking.

The session fee is £295 on weekdays and £325 on weekends and bank holidays. This includes the photo session of around 2 hours, the pre-session consultation, my travel to and from the chosen location and my editing time. 5 high resolution images (with full print release) and 5 large professional quality prints are included in the base session fee. A booking fee of £100 is required in advance to secure your session date, with the balance payable a couple of days afterwards.

Pre-session consultation

Before every portrait session, it’s useful to have a chat on the phone and find out more about your family members, their likes and dislikes and to discuss the location for the session. I’ll give you a call one to two weeks before the session to go through everything, answer any questions and make sure that everyone is prepared!

Photo sessions can be at your home/garden or we can choose a nearby location, such as a local park or garden. I can also advise on outfits for everyone, which can make all the difference to the finished result.

Day of the shoot

On the day of the shoot, you just need to come prepared for a fun couple of hours out with the family. People are often unsure what to expect when it comes to the photo session itself, but most people really enjoy the experience.

Photo sessions usually take around 2 hours but each session is different and I don’t set a time limit! I have experience of working with lots of families and children of all ages and I will make sure I get the best out of everyone to create photos that you will love.

After the shoot

Following the photo session, I select and professionally edit the best images from the shoot and you usually get at least 50-60 images to choose from (in a mixture of colour and black and white). You are then invited to view your photos via an online gallery. I will also arrange a call so that I talk you through the options for printing and framing.

You will have time to look through the photos and choose your favourites and then I’ll help you through the ordering process to make sure you get some beautiful prints and products to display in your home. I am passionate about getting your photos printed so a set of beautiful prints is included in every session. Upgrade options are shown below.
